Luminous Blue

An experimental mixed media painting on stretched A1 paper. The blue was painted on the back of the paper with the tree image on the front, Raw linseed oil was then used over areas of the fixed charcoal and oil painted foliage to make the paper transparent. When hung in a window, the grey sky becomes a luminous blue.
